Monika Olson, Director / Designer and her team..

Compelled to create a journey that is both professional but also down to earth, keeping you inspired, engaged and excited throughout each stage of your landscape design process.  Specialists in outdoor spaces, with over 15 years of experience in design, materials and plant knowledge they can advise on any size project, from sub-division requiring RC documentation and design – to private residential consultation and garden designs. What’s great is that they can handle both landscape designs and project management of the build and the planting phase. Monika, with her creative flair, recognizes the importance of creating timeless designs and lasting impressions through the use of colour, balance, texture, tone etc.

To Monika, a successful project relies on the collaboration of you the client, your architecture, your installer, your dreams, and of course your budget which is carefully considered with each project – and which ultimately builds the base for our creative and professional design magic to happen!

When you look at your garden… you will enjoy it more if you are looking at a manageable masterpiece with strong design principals. Monika Olson Design understand how people can positively interact with outdoor spaces - and how this changes with the Seasons, so let them make your place enjoyable all year round and not just in Summer!

Why choose us?

>

We have not only been involved in creating outstanding landscape design plans but also overseeing the installation and personally placing out plants so that the final product is perfect! Our goal is to create timeless gardens with specified quality materials. We choose plants and trees that will not only survive but thrive and keep giving years of enjoyment. We deal with private garden makeovers and new properties at the building stages. We also collaborate with architects, urban designers and planners to get required landscape designs, planting plans and maintenance schedules passed through council (Resource Consent when required). We have also had fun collaborating and workshopping with students to design and implement abundant experiential and sustainable school playgrounds, as well as a huge interest in suburban community gardens.
